ADHD Treatment in Portland

ADHD doesn't end when you finish school, and neither should good treatment for it. This practice offers ADHD care for adults — whether you were diagnosed years ago and need a prescriber who takes it seriously, you're transferring from another provider, or you've spent your whole life suspecting something and are ready to find out. Visits are long enough to actually talk, treatment is tailored rather than templated, and you work with the same doctor every time. No subscription apps, no ten-minute refill mills — just steady, judgment-free care.

Overview

WHAT THIS COVERS

ADHD care for adults, including:

  • Evaluation for adults who suspect ADHD but have never been formally diagnosed

  • Medication management, including stimulant and non-stimulant options

  • Transfer of care if you're already diagnosed and treated but need a new prescriber

  • Attention to the whole picture — sleep, mood, anxiety, and the conditions that often travel with ADHD

  • Lab work when relevant, and a look at the health basics that make treatment work better

  • Ongoing follow-up visits to fine-tune dose, timing, and side effects

WHAT TO EXPECT

Care starts with a thorough first visit: your history, current struggles, past diagnoses or treatment, and what you're hoping will change. If you're new to diagnosis, we'll talk through the evaluation process and what records or screening tools are useful. If you're established on medication, we'll review what's working and get your prescriptions transferred without a gap. From there, follow-ups are spaced to match where you are — closer together while finding the right medication and dose, then routine check-ins once things are stable. Visits are available in person in Portland or by telehealth across Oregon and Washington.

COMMON QUESTIONS

Do you diagnose ADHD, or do I need an existing diagnosis?

  • Either way works. I perform full diagnostic evaluations for adults who have never been formally assessed, and I also take over care for patients who already have a diagnosis and an established treatment plan. No outside referral or prior evaluation is required.

Can everything be done through telehealth?

  • Yes. Evaluation, prescribing — including stimulant medications — and follow-up visits can all be done by telehealth if you're located in Oregon or Washington. One practical note for Washington patients: stimulant prescriptions are sent to an Oregon pharmacy, so you'll need to pick those up in Oregon. Non-stimulant medications can go to your local Washington pharmacy as usual.

Do you take insurance?

  • This is a direct-pay practice, so visits are paid out of pocket at transparent flat rates — see the pricing page. Many patients use HSA or FSA funds, and I can provide a superbill you can submit to your insurance for possible out-of-network reimbursement. Prescriptions and labs can still be billed to your insurance as usual.

Do you see patients in Washington?

  • Yes — I'm licensed in both Oregon and Washington and see Washington patients by telehealth. If your ADHD treatment includes a stimulant, the prescription will go to an Oregon pharmacy for pickup.
